FSHN GSA Role
Vice President
Who are you and what’s your research about?
Travis received his Bachelor of Science in Food Science in 2023 from the University of Tennessee. There, he conducted research as an undergraduate that investigated the ice recrystallization inhibition of polysaccharides. Currently, Travis is a master’s student whose research focuses on the and rheological properties of hydrogels and their applications in different foods and food systems. He enjoys the outdoors and hiking as well as traveling.
Why is the FSHN GSA important to you?
FSHN GSA is important to me because it allows for me to connect with other graduate students in our department outside of the lab setting. I think that it will add a sense of community to our department.
