FSHN GSA Role
Secretary
Who are you and what’s your research about?
Sally is a second-year M.S. student from South Korea. She earned B.S. in Food Science and Technology from University of Maryland, College Park.
Her research focuses on exploring the efficacy of far-UVC light in deactivating foodborne pathogens on food contact surfaces and in deli ham.
She likes hanging out with her friends, spending time with her dog named Doongdoong, and watching tv shows.
Why is the FSHN GSA important to you?
I hope that the FSHN GSA can cultivate a sense of belonging and foster a strong community among graduate students. As graduate school can be a challenging journey, I believe having a supportive community of like-minded peers can become a valuable network. This makes FSHN GSA important to me, as it motivates me to contribute to the positive academic and social experiences of students in FSHN at UIUC.
