Who are you and what’s your research about?
Donald is a third-year Ph.D student from Nicaragua. He earned his B.S. in Food Science and Technology from Zamorano University in 2019.
Currently, he is studying how vitamin A status affects the progression of atherosclerosis, which is the main factor responsible for cardiovascular disease. Some other projects include the role of finasteride, a front-line medication used to prevent and treat prostate hyperplasia, as a potential treatment to delay cardiovascular disease.
He enjoys spending time with friends, trying new foods, and exploring new places around the world.
