Who are you and what’s your research about?
Third-year Ph.D. working under Dr. Miller. I earned my B.S in Food Science and Technology from Zamorano University in 2021. My research focuses on lactic acid bacteria in fermented foods, specifically optimizing bioactive metabolites using biochemical and genetic approaches. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, spending time with friends, and engaging in outdoor activities.

Why is the FSHN GSA important to you?
FSHN GSA is important to me because it fosters connection and community among graduate students. It provides opportunities for professional development, social events, and helping create a supportive environment.
